Out of the box thinker
I pride myself on the fact that when I am faced with a problem I am able to look at it from multiple angles. Sometimes the answer is very cut and clear, but sometimes it requires a little creativity, a little imagination, and the guts to possibly be wrong.
Creative
I was called a daydreamer in school but in the real world I am considered a visionary. Some of my ideas may be a little off the wall, but the ones that are not are well worth your time.
Leader
Growing up I was never the one to be the team captain or elected Prom King but for some reason when things hit the fan or there was a problem, that is the moment where I would step up and shine. I will take the heat if something goes wrong but we will share the glory if everything goes right!
Resorceful
Having the right tool for the job is always nice, but not always feasible. In these situations I have learned to do the best with what I have available. Sometimes that means using a rock as a hammer, the sun as a way to tell time, or even using Excel in place of Access.
Patient
Patience does not run in my family linage, with an Italian mother, and Scottish father, my temper had a fuse like a match head. But with a lot of hard work and practice I have tamed my inner beast. I believe you would loose your cool before you found someone who said I was impatient.
Hard Working
My parents instilled an amazing work ethic within me. Growing up I was never allowed to quit anything that I had committed to such as a season sport. I was always encouraged to put my best effort forward and leave it all out on the field. And, if I was not happy with something within myself, only I had the ability to practice and change what I did not like.
Lean Six Sigma
In a number of the positions I have held I was able to see where assets were either being waisted or mismanaged, made corrections and changes that ultimately saved money and increased production.
